Thoughtful color tools

About UI Color Picker

A focused, privacy-conscious toolkit for designers and developers who want accurate color answers without workflow clutter.

Why we built it

Small color tasks should feel effortless.

Design work often jumps between picking a pixel, translating a code, shaping a gradient, and checking text contrast. UI Color Picker brings those jobs into one calm, consistent workspace.

The tools stay focused on useful output: values you can copy, palettes you can export, CSS you can ship, and accessibility results you can act on.

Private by design

Images selected from your device are decoded and analyzed in your browser, not sent to an image-processing API.

Immediate feedback

Every picker, converter, gradient, and contrast result updates while you work—without an account or extra setup.

One connected workflow

Move from an image color to a palette, CSS gradient, conversion, or accessibility check without losing context.

Site continuity

The one-click color library remains part of the product.

UI Color Picker was originally known for a compact library of interface colors whose HEX values could be copied in one click. The current site keeps that useful task in its searchable HEX color reference while adding image sampling, palette extraction, conversion, gradients, and accessibility checks.

Methodology

Useful results, explained and tested.

Every tool page includes its method, practical limits, and relevant standards so you can understand what the result means—not only copy it.

Verifiable color math

Conversion and contrast functions are checked against fixed black, white, primary-color, alpha, and WCAG threshold vectors.

Transparent image handling

Pixel picking and palette extraction run locally. Each image tool explains what it reads and where processing happens.

Release validation

Automated checks cover routes, metadata, conversion accuracy, keyboard flows, mobile layouts, hydration, and privacy behavior.

Corrections are welcome

If a formula, accessibility explanation, or browser behavior appears wrong, send the URL and a reproducible example.

Product decisions

Distinct tools, not thin variations.

New features must solve a real color task. Search demand can help prioritize the work, but it never replaces usefulness, accuracy, accessibility, or honest limitations.

Accountability

Real feedback, no invented proof.

Bug reports and factual corrections are welcome at hello@uicolorpicker.com. We do not publish invented reviews, credentials, usage counts, or social profiles.
